GF Hoteles, a local company which already operates four and five-star hotels with naturists terraces in Costa Adeje, has announced it’s newest luxury venture, the five-star Victoria Suite Hotel, will open for business on 20 December 2017. Currently still under construction, the latest development will include designated facilities for relaxing au natural. According to the website, “Naturists – exclusive area for adults on the top floor, with pool and jacuzzi, for those who wish to practice naturism in complete privacy”.

The Spanish Naturist Federation (FEN) has updated its website which now includes a comprehensive map-based guide to the hundreds of nude beaches in Spain and the islands.

Finca Ensueno at Macher, southern Lanzarote, is a three-bedroomed villa (all en suite), with its own secluded swimming pool. The property comes with a dishwasher, cable and satellite TV, internet/wi-fi, and outdoor barbecue. The owners describe it as “ideal for naturists”.

A small new naturist complex opened on 1 November 2014, on the west coast of the Canarian island of La Palma. The island is one of the smaller and less touristy destinations in the region. There are a couple of direct charter flights a week to La Palma from the UK (Tui/Thomson), otherwise the easiest way to travel is by ferry from Los Cristianos, on the island of Tenerife. La Palma Natura has eight fully equipped self-catering apartments, an attractive pool and free wi-fi. The accommodation is close to the new official naturist beach at Puerto Tazacorte. Tony and Nicky fell in love with the Canarian island of Lanzarote on their first visit last year. And only a matter of weeks later returned to the island to purchase a holiday property at the naturist village of Charco del Palo. They have now made their 2-bedroomed bungalow in an intimate development of just six properties – with a shared a pool – available to other sunseekers wanting an au natural vacation by the sea.

The refurbished Playa del Sol apartments at Playa del Ingles, in southern Gran Canaria, provide a good range of facilities including something for all-over sunseekers. According to the hotel management “On the top floor of the hotel is our nudist Solarium, ideal for experiencing a complete sense of freedom. We invite you to give it a try!” Obviously ‘on message’; and they have provided a photo of the nude zone on the website too.

A modern low-rise aparthotel at Playa Blanca, on the south coast of Lanzarote – Pueblo Marinero – offers an FKK naturist sun terrace overlooking the sea. Officially rated locally with 4 stars, the self-catering adults-only accommodation is available through many of the UK’s largest tour operators including Thomson and First Choice. A half-board option can be booked by those who prefer to let somebody else do the cooking. The location is handy for the renowned bare beaches at Papagayo (World’s Best Nude Beaches, page 157).

Due to popular demand the British-owned Infiniti apartments and villa complex at Corralejo, Fuerteventura, has again increased it’s fully-naturist season during 2014.

The whole development including the attractive communal pool, sun terraces and spa will be available to enjoy au naturel! Additionally, further clothes-optional weeks may be available subject to demand.

Naturists will also be given a warm welcome at other times, when the complex operates on a textile basis, but offers a panoramic roof-top terrace permanently available for nude sunbathing and a sauna where swimsuits are not required. With 56 apartments, the Gran Hotel Natura claims to be the largest naturist holiday centre in the Canary Islands. Situated at the sea shore on the outskirts of Corralejo, adjacent to Flag beach. Apparently, it’s an existing property that has undergone refurbishment and now welcomes folk who prefer to leave their swimsuits at home.

A handy website with lots of inside information about different opportunities for bare bathing can be found on the Gran Canaria Info website. And there’s also a Google map to identify the various naturist-friendly locations.

A large new rural villa on the naturist-friendly island of Fuerteventura, Casa Mariposa has three bedrooms and enjoys total privacy in the gardens. Furnished to a high standard, the reasonably priced accommodation would be suitable for couples or families. The sparkling pool and extensive terraces are perfect for relaxing au naturel. The inland location is handy for the airport, but would require a modest drive to the traditional naturist beaches in the north and south of the island.

Cordial Resort Hotels have acquired the original Sun River Club in Costa Calma, southern Fuerteventura. Originally opened in 1997, the name has now changed to ‘Hotel Best Age‘. A secluded area on the roof of the hotel has been set aside as a nudist terrace. The adults-only accommodation is set on high ground in a built up part of the resort, about a kilometre inland from the beach. In addition to all the usual hotel facilities, it offers a spa for relaxed pampering.

Another pair of private villas with pools on the Canarian island of Lanzarote – in the Puerto del Carmen area – suitable for holidaying au naturel.

According to the website for Villa Jenifer ‘The sunbathing area is 100% private and ideal for naturists‘. Sleeping 2-6 people, the fully equipped 3-bedroomed accommodation also includes a handy wi-fi internet connection.

And the three-bedroomed Los Mojones Villa is described as having a spacious terrace with covered seating and sunbathing areas, including heated pool and jacuzzi/hot tub. The terraces are completely private and suitable for naturists.

Set in Playa Blanca near the southern tip of Lanzarote, Casa Alana has three bedrooms and a sparkling pool surrounded by extensive sun terraces. The villa is described by the owners as 100% secluded and private – perfect for Naturists.

In addition to the usual facilities at the three-star Sol La Palma Apartments, at Puerto Naos on the Canarian island of La Palma, the property offers a naturist sunbathing terrace. We understand the nudist area is restricted to guests over 16 years of age. The main naturist beach on the island – Playa de las Monjas – is nearby.

The Hotel Occidental Grand, which is listed in The World’s Best Nude Beaches and Resorts (page 153) has a new owner and a new name. It is now called the Hotel Club Magic Life and the good news is that the naturist area – with swimming pool, terrace and sauna – has been retained and improved.

On the southern coast of the Canarian island of Fuerteventura, a newly built (2009) holiday bungalow with its own pool is described as being suitable for nudists. The property – with two bedrooms – enjoys a high level of privacy and is handy for the clothes-optional beaches on the outskirts of the resort.

An au natural break is on the cards at a holiday house with private pool in the district of Cuesta de la Villa, Santa Ursula, in the north of Tenerife. The 3-bedroomed cottage is not far from the resort of Puerto de la Cruz, and the private garden and pool area are described by the owners as suitable for naturists.
