Fancy somewhere for an extended-family get-together or a party with your naturist friends – the Pradera Estate, in Andalucia, southern Spain, could be just the place! The estate has two big rural fincas, sleeping up to 22 people, with a large swimming pool as the center feature; and lush gardens leading out to olive groves, with far-reaching views of the mountains. Perfect for sunning au naturel and bathing in the buff.

This British-owned 3-bed family villa in rural Andalucia has a completely secluded private swimming pool and barbecue area. According to one published guest review: “The pool which is located at the rear of the property is to die for…  …perfect for skinny dipping!”

The Javea property is traditional finca-style villa with over 15000 m (almost 4 acres) of land in the Montgo National Park. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms – the outdoor space, including the pool, is very private and ideal for naturists. The asking price is €500,000 Euro.

Due to popular demand the British-owned Infiniti apartments and villa complex at Corralejo, Fuerteventura, has again increased it’s fully-naturist season during 2012.

Naturists will also be given a warm welcome at other times, when the complex operates on a textile basis, but offers a panoramic roof-top terrace permanently available for nude sunbathing and a sauna where swimsuits are not required. Built in 2010, Valle Romano Golf Resort, at Estepona ( Málaga), features 430 luxury air-conditioned apartments. Amongst the many attractions, a furnished nudist terrace is provided for those who prefer to relax au naturel. The resort is also particularly handy for Costa Natura and its popular nude beach, which are situated on the coast directly in front of Valle Romano.

Cordial Resort Hotels have acquired the original Sun River Club in Costa Calma, southern Fuerteventura. Originally opened in 1997, the name has now changed to ‘Hotel Best Age‘. A secluded area on the roof of the hotel has been set aside as a nudist terrace. The adults-only accommodation is set on high ground in a built up part of the resort, about a kilometre inland from the beach. In addition to all the usual hotel facilities, it offers a spa for relaxed pampering.

Described as ‘Heavans Gate’, The Thai House in south-west Andalucia, has its own divine meditation garden with balinese day beds and a pond of lotus flowers; together with a natural fresh water spring for bathing. But, perhaps best of all, there’s a virtually private nudist beach just 10 minutes’ walk from the house. Not cheap, but it looks quite special and might be worth investigating.

Another pair of private villas with pools on the Canarian island of Lanzarote – in the Puerto del Carmen area – suitable for holidaying au naturel.

According to the website for Villa Jenifer ‘The sunbathing area is 100% private and ideal for naturists‘. Sleeping 2-6 people, the fully equipped 3-bedroomed accommodation also includes a handy wi-fi internet connection.

And the three-bedroomed Los Mojones Villa is described as having a spacious terrace with covered seating and sunbathing areas, including heated pool and jacuzzi/hot tub. The terraces are completely private and suitable for naturists.

Set in Playa Blanca near the southern tip of Lanzarote, Casa Alana has three bedrooms and a sparkling pool surrounded by extensive sun terraces. The villa is described by the owners as 100% secluded and private – perfect for Naturists.

Parque Acuático de Córdoba – Aquasierra at Villafrance de Córdoba, about 20 km from the capital of the province, has made special provision for bare bathers. Theresa O’Shea, writing in the August edition of H&E magazine, describes a 3,500 sq metre area set aside for naturists, which includes two swimming pools, a nude sunbathing zone and a shaded relaxation area.

In addition to the usual facilities at the three-star Sol La Palma Apartments, at Puerto Naos on the Canarian island of La Palma, the property offers a naturist sunbathing terrace. We understand the nudist area is restricted to guests over 16 years of age.

The Hotel Occidental Grand, which is listed in The World’s Best Nude Beaches and Resorts (page 153) has a new owner and a new name. It is now called the Hotel Club Magic Life and the good news is that the naturist area – with swimming pool, terrace and sauna – has been retained and improved.

Es Ratxo Hotel & Spa is located in the foothills of the Puig de Galatzó Mountain near the attractive village of Puigpunyent on the island of Mallorca. The intimate 25-room hotel has an outdoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi and nudist area along the path to total relaxation. More details about the 5-star accommodation on the hotel’s own website.

On the southern coast of the Canarian island of Fuerteventura, a newly built (2009) holiday bungalow with its own pool is described as being suitable for nudists. The property – with two bedrooms - enjoys a high level of privacy and is handy for the clothes-optional beaches on the outskirts of the resort.

An au natural break is on the cards at a holiday house with private pool in the district of Cuesta de la Villa, Santa Ursula, in the north of Tenerife. The 3-bedroomed cottage is not far from the resort of Puerto de la Cruz, and the private garden and pool area are described by the owners as suitable for naturists.

Opening later this month, the Princess Garden Resort is located just 5 minutes’ drive from Benidorm on Spain’s Costa Blanca. With 30 one and two-bedroomed bungalows set in attractive sub-tropical grounds, the central attraction will be the large star-shaped swimming pool surrounded by extensive sun terraces. Casa de Libertad is within easy walking distance of the nearby town of Jalon. The swimming pool has far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside and there is a separate spa. 25 miles down the coast from Tarragona, Playa El Torn is one of Spain’s finest naturist beaches. Located on the southern outskirts of L’Hospitalet de L’Infant and backed by pine trees, the unspoilt sandy shore stretches for over a mile (World’s Best Nude Beaches – page 129). Nearby textile Cala d’Oques offers attractive camping, with rooms available for those without their own accommodation. There is a small cove right next to the site which is used by naturists, and the main El Torn nude beach is less than 200 metres walk. An added bonus is that the camping remains open all year and welcomes long-stay visitors.

Directly adjacent to  El Torn, fully naturist camping is available at El TemploDel Sol.

Located just 600 metres from the naturist-friendly Cabo de Trafalgar beach (World’s Best Nude Beaches, page 117), Puravida Bungalow Apartaments offer handy and informal accommodation nearby. There are ten bungalows and two apartments  set in 4,000 square metres of grounds. According to the website, swimsuits are optional at the pool.
