The pretty seaside town or Porto Petro has a simple 2-star adults-only pension in the centre – Hotel  Varadero. There are two buildings, the main hotel and a separate annex. According to the management, there is a nudist terrace on the roof of the 3-storey annex.

The Spanish Naturist Federation (FEN) has updated its website which now includes a comprehensive map-based guide to the hundreds of nude beaches in Spain and the islands.

To cope with growing demand, the popular boutique hotel Skinny Dippers, close to the famous Es Trenc nude beach, in Mallorca, has expanded and added self-catering apartments to its naturist portfolio.  The Skinny Dippers Apartments – which have their own pool and gardens – are described as perfect for the independent naturist traveller looking for tranquility with peace and quiet.

This large and imposing villa caters for groups of up to 8 guests in luxurious surroundings. Hosts at Villa Lion, Ally and Caroline, have been catering for naturists in Mallorca for ten years. The property is set in 5 acres of sub-tropical gardens and is totally secluded and private; but only 1km from the motorway, and 16km from the airport. The facilities include a large pool, spa, outside bar, pool table, barbecue area, fish ponds and a full-sized tennis court.

Freelance Holidays, based in Stratford-upon-Avon in the UK, have identified no less than 43 holiday properties with private pools in their portfolio that have been assessed as naturist-friendly.

An extremely handy web-guide to naturist opportunities on the lovely Balearic island of Menorca recently came to our attention. We know from personal experience what an amazingly laid back attitude prevails on the beaches – with clad and unclad bathers side by side on many a strand.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the luxury naturist accommodation at Skinnydippers, it’s doubling in size. The existing property was oversubscribed and completely booked up for 2013; so owners Grant and Jordi secured a lease on a superb holiday complex next door, providing an additional seven bedrooms and a second swimming pool – all surrounded by open fields in the peaceful Mallorcan countryside. And of course very handy for the stunning clothes-optional Es Trenc beach too.

Exciting news reaches us that an attractive aparthotel, adjacent to a remote bare beach in Mallorca, has just become exclusively available to naturists during summer! Originally called Sa Punta de s’Estanyol, it has been renamed – Naturplaya – on the north coast, lies between Colonia Sant Pere and Son Serra Nou. The prdoperty is right next to the shore and overlooks Playa Sa Canova (World’s Best Nude Beaches Page 145). Reservations from the UK can be made through Chalfont Holidays.

Es Ratxo Hotel & Spa is located in the foothills of the Puig de Galatzó Mountain near the attractive village of Puigpunyent on the island of Mallorca. The intimate 25-room hotel has an outdoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi and apparently a nudist area along the path to total relaxation.

Located in Playas de Fornells, on the north coast of the island of Menorca, the three-star aparthotel Tramontana Park is next to the sea and a short walk from the nearest beach – Cala Tirant. The attractive development of 86 apartments has a secluded nudist area on the roof.

The 5-star Serrano Palace Hotel at Cala Ratjada, on the northeast coast of Mallorca, offers a secluded nudist terrace and pool on the 4th floor. The hotel also has an indoor pool, a spa, jacuzzi, hammam with aromatherapy, sauna and a gym. The clothes-optional beach at Cala Mesquida (World’s Best Nude Beaches page 145) is a short drive away.

Casa Veleta is a secluded villa with a pool set in private gardens on the Spanish island of Ibiza. According to a regular naturist guest, “the property is ideal for a clothes free holiday. We have been going every year for the past seven years.”
