Carlos and Maria have opened a new naturist B&B in Tavira, near Barril Beach, beyond the Ria Formosa – VILAPURA. Ideal for enjoying the naturist beaches of the Algarve, with five double bedrooms, a restaurant, pool and jacuzzi.

A rustic wooden cottage for two in a private valley at Barão de São Miguel, between Luz and Budens, Western Algarve. Situated in a private water-side setting and ideal for naturism. There’s use of a sauna and swimming in the lake. Within 10 km of the beaches, including nudist ones. The house is completely off grid and has a solar system. So there are not many electric devices (there is a fridge and tv). Cooking is on a gas hob.

Casa da Palma is a Dutch-owned naturist holiday home on the eastern Algarve, close to the seaside town of Tavira. There are sea views and an attractive swimming pool. Accommodation is available for 2 to 4 guests. It is a smoke-free environment and dogs are welcome. A rural family naturist guest house and camping ground – NaturViana – is set  382 meters above sea level on the north coast of Portugal, in a natural area at the top of Serra da Padela. There are three bedrooms in the guest house with six beds, and the site has room for about thirty tents and a small number of caravans and motorhomes (advance booking required). The property  – which has a pool and pretty gardens –  is located at Largo de Agros, Geraz do Lima.

French naturist couple, Serge and Patricia, let out their modern property (built 2011) – Cabana del Sol – for couples who prefer to ‘holiday au naturel’. Four bedrooms are available, and guests can use the  fully fitted kitchen and spacious lounge-dining area. Breakfast is provided. Wi-fi is available, and the grounds boast an attractive pool with far-reaching views. The chambres d’hotes is situated approx 25 miles from Faro. Three en suite rooms set beside an attractive swimming pool and solarium at Sesimbra, near Lisbon, provide a welcome haven for naturists and skinny-dippers escaping the city at this rural retreat. Owners, Luís and António, provide massage and naked yoga at their Pool Houses Naturist Lodge, as well as bicycle hire and photography sessions. Spa facilities include a Jacuzzi and steam room, and self-caterers can share a communal kitchen and lounge. The nearest naturist beach is a cycle ride or short car journey from the property.

Dutch naturists, Dick and Helma, have lived in southern Portugal for 25 years. They are now offering B&B accommodation at their small nudist resort – Maison Africain – on the Algarve, 10 km to the north of the mountain village of Monchique. There are three ensuite bedrooms for guests, with more accommodation being developed. Not surprisingly, the rooms and bungalows have an Arabic feel. There are also facilities for pitching tents.

This intimate Dutch-owned rural naturist centre offers a small campsite – with caravans available for rent – together with a fully equipped holiday chalet for 4 people. The sloping 3.5-hectare grounds, complete with swimming pool, are terraced and enjoy fine countryside views. The young owners of Quinta do Maral offer family-friendly naturist holidays at their rural 10-ha campsite in Marvão, at the heart of the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede, central Portugal. A well-furnished and comfortable apartment is also available to rent. Discounts available for INF members and wi-fi is free.

Situated on the western Algarve, this spacious open plan villa sleeps six in three bedrooms and enjoys excellent open views. Complete with log fires, a sauna, satellite television and a broadband internet connection. Dutch naturists Henriette and Paul live in a former farmhouse – Quinta da Zorra – at Odiáxere, near the charming town of Lagos. They have converted an ancient smaller farmhouse into a 2-bedroomed guesthouse for holidaymakers, which shares their secluded grounds and pool.

Escape to the country at this rustic wooden holiday home, just 10 minutes’ drive from the town of Silves in Portugal’s Algarve region. Suitable for a couple, but can also accommodate young children too – the naturist-friendly property is set in total privacy – in the midst of an orange grove – on the Dutch owner’s 44-acre estate.

Richard and Caroline have established a simple eco-campsite one-hour north of Faro, southern Portugal. Set in 22 hectares of rolling hills amidst the peace and quiet of the countryside – and with it’s own lake – near Ourique. There are only 10 pitches so booking is essential. Although the naturist site is open all year, it is still under development and the owners are offering a special rate of just €6.50 Euro per night, including free wi-fi.

Luxurious glamping in the buff at ‘Natural Portugal‘ – consists of five large tents each with bathroom (bath, shower and toilet), double bed, lounge furniture & terrace. Dutch naturists Jos and Martine Pronk – together with their young family – followed their dream to farm in the Alentejano region of southern Portugal.  After successfully building up the agricultural side of the business they decided to open a naturist centre. Samonatura is situated at the edge of a protected reserve: Parque Naturel do Sudoeste, situated between Vila Nova de Milfontes and the small village of S. Luís. Covering 8 hectares, the property enjoys distant ocean views of the Atlantic 7km away. Accommodation is available in three separate self-contained units ranging from a de-luxe studio to a complete house.

This lovely 3-bedroomed villa at Carvoeiro on the Algarve, is owned by British naturists who clearly chose it on the basis of its suitability for bare bathing. Offering seclusion and a good sized pool, the family accommodation is also handy for the plentiful nude beaches along the nearby coast – excellent details on the villa website.

After 5 years of providing bed and breakfast accommodation for fellow naturists at their rural retreat near Santa Clara a Velha in the lower Alentejo region of Portugal, Ray and Marnie have moved to a location near the popular resort of Vila Nova de Milfontes on the Alentejo coast.  At the new property – with nude beaches nearby – they will still be offering holidays for naturists, but on a self catering basis. ‘Naturest Milfontes‘ will open at Easter 2011 – keep an eye on the website as it is developed for the coming season.

Jan and Jon are launching a new venture to accommodate visitors who prefer to holiday au naturel. Their property on the Portuguese Algarve offers a choice of self catering, B&B, half board or all inclusive. Set in countryside to the east of Faro and just 20 minutes’ drive from the airport, the welcoming swimming pool and sunny terraces will be appreciated by those who prefer to bathe in the buff.

The attractive 3-bedroomed Villa da Felicidade, near Carvoeiro on the Portuguese Algarve, is not marketed specifically for nude use. However, holidaying naturists advise the high degree of privacy make it ideal for sunbathing and swimming au naturel.
