Dutch naturist tutors are organising an international massage week for men and women in Southern Spain, during late summer 2010. From 11th to 18th September, the totally naturist holiday week will include daily sessions covering the basics of western massage. The venue is a large property complete with swimming pool, easily accessible from Malaga airport and not far from the popular resort of Nerja. Touch, the name of the company behind the venture, claim to have trained more than 2,500 people in the skills of massage, but suggest this could be a naturist first.

Domaine Le Portrait is a new quiet and secluded naturist campsite in the South Charente departmente, on the border with the Dordogne. The English-speaking Dutch owners have an 8 acre property with plenty of space for caravans, tents and motorhomes. A 4-berth caravan and a tent are also available to hire. Swimming pool, sauna and WiFi will be available for 2010.

Chan Home and Resort, in Pattaya, Thailand is naturist-friendly family resort where clothing is optional at the pool and around the villas.

Also, described as suitable for naturists - the German operated Thai Bamboo Guesthouse at Cha Am, Petchburi in Thailand has 4 bungalows to let. Set in 6,000 sq metres of grounds, which include mango trees, teak woods and other tropical plants; the property is in a remote location close to almost deserted beaches.

Described as ‘home from home self-catering naturist accommodation with space to relax in secure, secluded, and tranquil surroundings’, Butt Nothing is located near Port Elizabeth. A solar heated pool and sun loungers provide a haven for relaxation in the pretty sub-tropical gardens.

Duncan - the Scotsman Abroad - has been in touch to tell us about a superb bare beach at the northern end of the vast pale sands at St. Peter-Ording. Located in the Schleswig-Holstein district of Germany - 140km northwest of Hamburg - the FKK strand enjoys plenty of sunny, but sometimes breezy, days in summer. Miles of naked walking along the deserted shore beyond the official nudist section. Parking at the beach and plenty of facilities nearby - just ask for directions at the tourist office in the resort.

25 July - 1 August, 2010 is the date for a week-long clothes-optional cruise on the Saône and Rhône rivers in the South of France. Sailing from Chalon-sur-Saône, to Avignon on the Viking Neptune, 150 naked souls will be able to soak up the scenery and ambiance on the luxury cruise as nature intended.

During this autumn, Canadian husband and wife Ron & Lan are launching their naturist bed and breakfast - Angel Eyes - north of the town of Bowmanville, and east of Oshawa and Toronto. Set in six acres of attractive grounds, there are two letting bedrooms and a large private deck for nude sunbathing. High-speed wireless internet available.

The attractive 3-bedroomed Villa da Felicidade, near Carvoeiro on the Portuguese Algarve, is not marketed specifically for nude use. However, holidaying naturists advise the high degree of privacy make it ideal for sunbathing and swimming au naturel. Set in landscaped gardens, the property is handy for the Vale do Milho Golf Course and the coast. The villa is believed suitable for wheelchair users - check details with owner.

From the beginning of November Simon and Ruth are making their Wye Valley holiday cottage in the Forest of Dean, near the Gloucestershire town of Coleford, available to naturists. Pike House Cottage has two double bedrooms and is set in its own attractive and completely secluded garden. A hot tub in the grounds can be used naked all year and the grounds offer complete privacy for nude sunbathing. According to the naturist owners it is a place that’s ‘ideal for a time away without clothes’.

We have learned of three more naturist-friendly villas with pools in Spanish hotspots on the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol. Finca Caterina on the outskirts of the town of Teulada, is only a short drive from the nude beach at Cumbre del Sol near Moraira. Also in Moraira, Villa Lisa has a completely secluded garden and pool area, even though it is set in a residential part of town. It is not marketed specifically for naturists, but we know from personal feedback that it is entirely suitable because of the high level of privacy. Finally, set on the eastern Costa del Sol, a charming villa near the hillside town of Competa is described by the owners as, “perfect for a nudist holiday or for those who just like to swim and sunbathe au naturel“. The popular Cantarrijan nude beach between Nerja and Almunecar, on the eastern Costa del Sol is no longer directly accessible by car during mid-summer. The beach is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty in a National Park and the local authority is concerned about the damage to the sensitive environment caused by a large amount of traffic driving up and down the access tracks. A regular shuttle bus now provides a service from the car park next to the N340 coast road, down to the naturist shore - fare 1 Euro.

Mak Nuk Village, Tulum, Mexico is scheduled to open in Spring/Summer 2010 as an upscale naturist aparthotel with condos for sale and rent. The development is well under way and is located not far from stunning beaches, some of which are clothes-optional.

Chris and Jayne offer a well-equipped apartment for two people in the heart of the fishing village of El Cotillo - on the north-west coast of Fuerteventura - that boasts a private naturist-friendly roof terrace with sunbeds, shower and shade. The nearby clothes-optional white-sand lagoons beaches begin just a 10-15 minute walk north (’World’s Best Nude Beaches‘ page 152).

Three secluded holiday properties in Portugal recommended by British travel writer Paul Rouse - who lives in the country - offer the opportunity for relaxing as nature intended. The naturist-friendly villas are at Monte Horizonte in the Alentejo; and Casa Tara near Loule and Oleanders at Carvoeiro, both on the Algarve.

Meanwhile, we’ve also identified Vale de Milhanos, a comfortable country cottage in the surroundings of the Natural Park of the Guadiana Valley, described as ‘a place to stay for an unforgettable naturist holiday’.

Dutch naturists Ria and Arie have two holiday apartments at their property - Casa de las Colinas - near Alicante, on Spain’s Costa Blanca. With self-contained naturist accommodation and an inviting swimming pool, the rural accommodation is likely to appeal to nature lovers as well as naturists. Wi-Fi internet connection available. Maria and Kevin - based in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia - offer what they describe as a unique nudist B&B, including home-cooked meals. With three air-conditioned double guest rooms, an outdoor dinning area in a rain-forest setting, a spa, sauna and gym: they welcome naturist couples to enjoy their hospitality.

We’ve recently learned of two Austrian (textile) campsites that have limited naturist facilities. Naturpark Schluga Seecamping in Carinthia, is next to lake Presseggersee with a large bathing area and a sheltered nudist beach. Camping Gerli, also in Carinthia - close to the Italy-Slovenia-Salzburg-Vienna motorway junction - has a private FKK nudist terrace.

Located in Playas de Fornells, on the north coast of the island of Menorca, the three-star aparthotel Tramontana Park is next to the sea and a short walk from the nearest beach - Cala Tirant. The attractive development of 86 apartments has a secluded nudist area on the roof.

Close to the shores of the famed Lake Balaton, Angela Farm offers two naturist apartments, and plenty of space for nudist campers and caravanners. The swimming pool has a separate area for children: sauna and massage are also available. The thermal baths at Hévíz, Zalaszentgrót and Kehidakustány are nearby.

Martin and David have a modern two bedroom/one bathroom naturist apartment in a private villa near Estepona, Andalucia, to let. Handy for Marbella or Puerto Banus and within easy reach of Malaga, Seville and Granada. The ground floor accommodation provides direct access to the heated pool, hot tub and pretty gardens all available for naked relaxation.
